Real estate prices in Hyderabad were pushed high, benefiting KCR’s associates. Government land was illegally transferred to family and ministers. Phone tapping and corruption scandals further enriched KCR’s family while weakening democracy. In reality, the people of Telangana could have benefited from good governance, like what Chandrababu did in the past. But KCR’s family misused the state’s money for personal gain. Analysts say KCR’s attacks on Chandrababu are just a strategy to hide these failures and confuse the public.
