After attending a workshop and cupping hosted by Jerome, I resonated with his perspective on coffee roasting - namely that there isn't one "right" way to roast, but it depends on what you are trying to achieve. And it should (and can) be simple! So I sat down with Jerome for a quick off-the-cuff interview, to get his insight on what roasters need to know to be better roasters.

Jerome was key in developing the technology behind the LINK Sample Roaster, which has 4 roasting modes (cupping, filter, espresso, and omni) each with various suggested specs (end temp/time, development, roast curves, etc). It's a neat piece of roasting technology and aims to make coffee roasting accessible, affordable, predictable, and simplified.
