Session 06: Mapping the Pillars of Īmān: Knowing Allah, His Angels, His books and His Messengers

Ustādh Mehdi shows how the Qur’ān itself is centered on introducing us to Allah, and how the early generations approached His names and attributes with humility, affirmation, and balance — without distortion, denial, or likening Him to His creation. From this knowledge flow the actions of the heart: love, fear, hope, reliance, and sincere worship that free the believer from hidden shirk and worldly attachments. The session then turns to belief in the angels: their creation from light, their vast numbers, their roles in worship, revelation, protection, recording deeds, and accompanying the believer in life and at death. By the end, the listener sees how belief in Allah and His angels reshapes one’s view of the universe, anchors the heart in awe and serenity, and links us to the entire chain of revelation through the books and messengers that will be explored further in the journey.
