We got to the duck camp as a January winter storm was about to hit. We were able to get a little duck hunting in before the temps started dropping drastically. When the weather hit, it hit hard. The boats weren't properly functioning, and our willow holes were pretty much solid ice. Our duck hunting quickly turned into goose hunting. Thankfully we had found a big goose feed before the freeze and they were still hitting the field. The weather brought the birds with it, and we ended the week with some unforgettable hunts. When the weather gets like this, the Mississippi Delta is the place to be.
