Iranian authorities have arrested five alleged Mossad agents in Lorestan province, with local media claiming one of them attempted suicide by chewing a cyanide pill on camera. The IRGC accused the agents of running anti-Iran propaganda campaigns online to "tarnish the image" of the Islamic Republic. This comes days after Tehran claimed to have directly attacked a Mossad HQ in Tel Aviv and a military intel base in Gilot. Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a direct warning to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, saying he knows where he is hiding but “won’t kill him, for now.” With Iran also tightening digital surveillance, banning civil servants from using smartphones and enforcing censorship, the spy war appears to be entering a dangerous new phase.
