Platinum is historically the final metal to run in a precious metals bull market - and the most volatile. Between 2000 and 2008 it went from around $350 USD to $2,300. More recently it ran from under $1,000 to nearly $3,000 in under 12 months. Right now, sitting at around $1,900 USD after pulling back from that high, the ratios and the chart are pointing in one direction.

At a platinum-to-silver ratio of 26:1 - compared to a historical norm well above 60:1 - platinum looks deeply undervalued relative to silver. The gold-to-platinum ratio tells the same story. These are the same signals that told me to go heavy into silver years ago, and that decision paid off. I'm not ignoring them now.
