Bikepacking the East Clare Way, Co.Clare, Ireland. Day -1

Описание: My brother Aaron, our friend Martin and myself decided to bikepack the East Clare Way as soon as possible once travel restrictions were lifted in Ireland.
I got my inspiration for bikepacking the route after watching a video from Toughsoles walking the route, their video of walking the East Clare way is here    • The East Clare Way 👣 A 180km Pleasant Surp...  
The route starts and finishes in Killaloe, Co.Clare and consists of lovely quite country roads, lot's of forest fire roads, a bit of open mountain and a few small very friendly local Irish villages.

We planned to do the route over 3 days with wild camping for 2 nights. The route we did was 169.44 kilometers long with 3437 meters of height gain.
We had a typical mix of Irish weather, one minute blazing hot sunshine and the next lashing rain!!

I did the route on my week old Carrera Fury hardtail mountain bike. I only bought the bike the Monday before we did the route and had only cycled 30k on it.
But the bike worked out perfectly and was a joy to cycle even with all of my bikepacking gear attached to it.
I filmed the video on my Gopro Hero 9 Black and my Sony a5100 & 16-55mm lens and I put the video together using Filmora video editor.

This is the video from day 1, I will upload the videos from days 2 & 3 as I get them completed.
