Heads Up was a big Broadway hit in the late 1920's. Paramount's film version was made in May/June of 1930 at the NY Astoria studios and along the Hudson River. Heads Up was filmed at the same time as three other Astoria films (which included "The Sap from Syracuse" and "Animal Crackers".)
Helen Kane's character, Betty Trumball, was created especially for her for this film. In this scene, she sings a reprise of "If I Knew You Better" to her sister's new beau, as well as tells him personal things about their family..
NOTE: I had trouble recording and converting this clip. It is also too dark. I tried to save brighter settings but they did not stay. If you download it and adjust the brightness settings you will be able to see it clearly.
