実車について

西武鉄道新2000系は昭和63年に701・401系を置き換える形で登場した通勤型電車です。 昭和52年に登場した2000系の後継として製造され、前面は特徴あるブラックフェイスとなり乗降扉、側面客室窓ともに拡大されました。 エンドウではこの度、この新2000系を再生産いたします。各部の設計を見直し、前期型小窓車、更新車のほか、西武鉄道の前身である武蔵野鉄道を代表する「デハ5560形」をモデルとして塗色変更された「西武鉄道創立110周年記念トレイン」を新たにラインナップに追加いたします。 編成及びバリエーションが多いため、各ラインナップごとの生産数は相対して少数となりますのでお早めにご予約下さい。

About the actual car

Seibu Railway's New 2000 Series is a commuter train that debuted in 1988, replacing the 701 and 401 Series. Manufactured as the successor to the 2000 Series, which debuted in 1977, it features a distinctive black front face and enlarged boarding and alighting doors and side passenger compartment windows. Endo is now reproducing this New 2000 Series. The design of each component has been revised, and in addition to the early-model small-window cars and updated cars, the lineup will also include a new "Seibu Railway 110th Anniversary Commemorative Train," modeled after the "Deha 5560 Series," a representative model of Musashino Railway, Seibu Railway's predecessor. Due to the large number of train formations and variations, the number of trains produced for each lineup will be relatively limited, so please reserve early.
