Shelby learns the sweet story of natures changing cycles and that they are needed so that there can be new beginnings.
Such a gentle tale of resilience, understanding the changes in nature and a story that teaches the importance of the seasons to animals and woodland creatures. Accepting change can be difficult to interpret and understand and Shelby learns about this change all through not wanting that last autumn leaf to fall. It is so sweet the way Orson the owl explains the need for change as it effect her woodland friends. It is a story that also highlights the beauty that each season brings, the simple things that can easily be taken for granted like the smell of freshly cut grass and the falling blossom. Perfectly paired are the stunning watercolour illustrations, they exquisitely way across the pages.
