This is the story of my solo kayak circumnavigation of Eigg and Muck in Aug 2023
The small Isles, on the Scottish Highlands west coast are a classic UK sea kayaking destination.
Consisting of five Islands, Canna, Sanday, Rum, Eigg & Muck all of which have exposed rugged coast line, beautiful camping spots with amazing views.
These island are fully exposed to weather systems and have strong tides around the points and between the islands, so careful planning and settled weather are required for a successful trip

2:00 Day one, prep and ferry crossing from Mallaig to Eigg
5:00 Day one, paddle from Eigg to Muck & camp on muck
12:40 Day two, paddle round Muck cross back over to Eigg and camp
22:36 Day three, paddle round north and east Eigg
29:00 Day three, return ferry to Mallaig
