While debating the Peel Implementation Act (G. 45), it was important to outline the absurd and circuitous route this government has taken in getting to this bill. Bill 45 does not obviously solve a problem that has been identified.
There seemed to be a plan to dissolve Peel - or at least posturing as though that was the plan - and now, a handful of bills later we are debating the Peel Implementation Act, and no longer dissolution.
I was pleased to ask questions, share fond memories of Peel Region, and important safety issues raised by the Caledon Community Road Safety Advocacy Group who are fighting illegal truck yards.
