There's K, the main character, he's a lively man, very popular, known as an Ace of the sport called Nightball team. He's not the leader but he's the face of their school's Nightball team. He's obsessed about winning but he never prioritizes winning over friendship and brotherhood among his teammates.
But the conflict arises when their whole team even their coach gets swayed with their competitor's money. Giving them free scholarships for college entries and international work for their coach/manager. BUT K was not included cuz they all know K would never do such dirty things and the competitor planned to sacrifice K and take all the backlash.

K got betrayed by his own family, by his own team. His team is the only family he has as he's an orphan given scholarship by the orphanage's conglomerate school institution owned by Mr. A

People mocked K as he was the face of the team. They bashed him not knowing he never did it but rather his whole team did. His own teammates never even show mercy for what K was facing because they thought K is the only one known for this sport not their whole team, they were jealous of his fame.

One member of the team, JO, who's known for being a troublemaker, a hidden ace but a rule breaker of their team, who got suspended from playing for finals. He's not included with the betrayal although he also got an offer even before they offer it to the whole team, but he declined as he's a troublemaker to the school but never betray a friend (even if he's not too close with them cuz the members were scared of him and just let him do whatever he wants)

The two, K and JO, will meet and take revenge. K and JO discover an underground Nightball league, where the game is played differently and ruthlessly. They decide to form their own team to compete against their former teammates.

K seeks the guidance of an old Nightball legend who once faced a similar situation — Mr. A (Jo's father Mister Asakura). This mentor helps them hone their skills and develop unique strategies to outsmart their betraying teammates.
