Pretzel squat is another one of my favorite moves!
The counter-rotation with this move drives pressure into the pelvic region, hips, and legs, opening up the fascia there. The Internal rotation of the arms opens fascia in the legs which releases restriction in the quads, hamstrings, and adductors.
All three zones of the body are engaged!
You may also experience a reduction in hip and lower back tension as well as tension in the glutes, hamstrings, groin and IT bands. It balances the distribution of pressure throughout the legs, stabilizes the knees and ankles while increasing their blood flow.
