Briggs Creek of the Illinois Valley

Описание: Briggs Creek Valley located in the northern portion of the Illinois Valley close to Grants Pass, Briggs Creek is a beautiful stream in southwest Oregon’s Siskiyou Mountains. Briggs and its tributaries are lined with ancient forests, sprawling meadows, and serpentine ridgetops, where it feeds up to 20% of the water flow to the Wild and Scenic Illinois River.

Recreation opportunities abound in the Briggs Creek Valley, with horseback, mountain bike, and hiking trails meandering along the streams, old-growth forests, rare plants that occur only in serpentine soils and where some of the largest Ponderosa pine trees in the world are found.
