The car is in our Arizona showroom conveniently located right off Route 17 in North Phoenix. This is an impressive example of a 1964 Galaxie 500 from it’s charming Skylight Blue exterior to it’s beautiful two tone Blue vinyl interior. This was an exciting time for the American auto industry , breaking records every year. When I was assessing this car the thought that came to my mind was this is a real wolf in sheep’s clothing. On the outside it appears to be stock from it’s very shiny Skylight Blue paint and original trim that is in ideal condition to the very appropriate Spoke hubcaps with the Ford logo proudly displayed. Under the hood it’s real performer the motor has been rebuilt 3000 miles ago, it went from the stock displacement of 352 cubic inches to being bored and stroked to make it a 390 cubic inch engine that also has many performance enhancements including a performance camshaft, a new Edelbrock Carburetor and intake manifold . Also featured are the Sanderson shorty Headers connected to a dual exhaust . The valve covers and air cleaner are also color coordinated tastefully with the exterior color of the car, surely providing much more performance than stock. The cabin of this classic provides a spacious space for family and friends retaining the original look through-out and is in very good condition. There are numerous improvements and new parts the list is long but also insures that this car was cared for and can be reliable for the new home it gets. As represented by the owner this is a three owner car and for 57 years is not many. Another enhancement this classic has is the addition of a Kenwood Stereo with four speakers and sub-woofer installed in a remote location operated by remote thus leaving the dash with the original AM radio intact.
