Steps:
some thin thread, 30 cm (nothing special), fold it 2 times for more strings for security
make a loop around a pencil, make a double knot so that the loop doesn't open
combine the loop with the wrist thread as seen in the video.
Bonus: For additional comfort, I made a cushion out of flexible styrofoam often found in packing and combined it with some duct tape and zip ties. You could also use cardboard instead of styrofoam. Especially because of the bigger surface area it adds a lot of comfort, the duct tape is cool to the touch, I used ones I made for quest 2 which hold up now for 2 years.
