Описание: BYD Tang DM-i arrived in Philippines as a standout 7-seater plug-in hybrid SUV priced at ₱2,098,000. It’s part of BYD’s “Super DM-i” lineup, marrying electric and range-extender hybrid tech to tackle range anxiety while still offering EV performance.

Under the hood, the Tang DM-i uses a 1.5-litre turbo generator (acting as range extender) and pairs it with a permanent magnet synchronous motor fed by a 21.5 kWh Blade Battery (Li-Fe / LFP chemistry). Together, this setup is rated at 267 hp and 315 Nm of torque.

In pure EV mode, it can run up to 110 km, while its “combined / extended” range can stretch up to 1,160 km under ideal conditions. For performance buffs, BYD claims a 0–100 km/h time of 7.5 seconds. Dimensionally, the Tang DM-i is generously sized. It measures 4,870 mm long, 1,950 mm wide, and 1,725 mm tall, with a 2,820 mm wheelbase. Ground clearance is about 182 mm, and it rides on 20-inch alloy wheels with 255/50 R20 tires.

Inside, the SUV seats seven and comes fully loaded: the driver and front passenger enjoy heated + ventilated seats with power adjustments, while the second and third rows offer versatile folding configurations (60:40 for second row, full fold for the third). Cargo capacity is 235 L with all seats in place, growing to 940 L with the third row folded, and up to 1,655 L when both rear rows are down.

The cockpit features dual digital displays (a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and 15.6-inch infotainment screen), a 12-speaker Dynaudio system, wireless charging, multiple USB and 12V ports, and the full ADAS suite under BYD’s DiPilot (adaptive cruise, AEB, lane assist, blind-spot monitoring, 360° camera, etc.). It also supports V2L (vehicle-to-load) functionality, so you can power devices from the car’s battery.
