A short tour of the most famous fortress in Saxony
If anyone thinks they can hear Bach's Christmas Oratorio in the background, they are wrong. It is J.S. Bach's "Tönet, ihr Pauken! Sound out, trumpets!" Bach wrote the piece on 8 December 1733 as a congratulatory cantata on the occasion of the birthday of Maria Josepha, Electress of Saxony and Queen of Poland. And for the Christmas Oratorio, he simply stole from himself.
