Many training zone systems, especially those automatically generated by the Garmins, Suuntos and COROS of the world are based on estimates of your anaerobic threshold made by those devices. We suggest that the first step in training is to conduct both an aerobic and anaerobic threshold test so that your training zones are based on actual measurements that accurately reflect your current fitness level.
