☕️ About this recipe:

After many trips back and forth to Japan we have a real obsession with dango. The chewy, sweet treats are available pretty much everywhere and we would eat them by the tray full when we could!

Now we love recreating that experience at home as best and close we can to the real thing. You can even make your own red bean paste like we did.

🥒 Ingredients:

1 cup glutinous rice flour 100 g / 3.52 oz
6 tbsp water 90 ml / 3 oz

For the mitarashi sauce:
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp cornstarch / cornflour
1 tbsp soy sauce
4 tbsp water

👩‍🍳 Recipe Steps:

0:00 How to Make Dango
0:05 Mix the dango dough.
0:31 Roll into small balls.
0:52 Boil until they float (plus one extra minute).
1:09 Thread dango onto skewers, lightly char in pan.
1:37 Make the mitarashi sauce, pour over cooked dango.
