PM Modi & President Murmu Visit Odisha: Mega ₹47,600 Cr Projects Launched

Описание: In a rare and highly significant event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district to participate in a landmark program marking the completion of two years of the Government of Odisha. Operating under the theme "Vikas ra Dhara, Odisha Sara," the VVIP duo launched a massive wave of development projects valued at over ₹47,600 crore.

The day began with the President and Prime Minister visiting Pahadpur village to offer prayers at the sacred Santhali Jahera and Ho Jahera groves, alongside inspecting a local Skill Centre and the Pahadpur School to support tribal empowerment. Following this, a mega-rally at Rairangpur saw the inauguration and foundation stone-laying ceremonies for transformational initiatives spanning clean energy, healthcare, roadways, and irrigation.

Key Project Highlights Included:

Foundation stones for the 600 MW Upper Indravati Pumped Storage Project and the IB Thermal Power Station Expansion (Stage-II).

The massive Bharat Coal Gasification and Chemicals Limited (BCGCL) Project at Lakhanpur.

Infrastructure breakthroughs like a new bridge over the Kathajodi River linking Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.

Inauguration of a 300-bedded District Headquarters Hospital building at Boudh and 24 new Atal Bus Stands across the state.
