Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has promised to make NBN “more affordable over the longer term,” says Sky News Political reporter Cameron Reddin.
Taxpayers will pour an additional three billion dollars into the National Broadband Network (NBN) in a move Labor says would “finish the job” and keep prices affordable, said Mr Reddin.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of keeping the NBN in public hands, saying that public investment is essential to keep prices within reach for households and businesses.
