Описание: The trek through Andharban is one of the most refreshing treks in the Sahyadri region. The name ‘Andharban’ is a compound word, coming from Andhar, meaning ‘dark’, and ban, which means ‘forest’. Literally the ‘dark forest’, Andharban is a trail through dense overgrowth, with beautiful views of the Devkund waterfall, Plus Valley and the Tamhini Ghat along the way. Scattered throughout with numerous small streams and waterfalls, it is a descending trek – it begins at an elevation of approximately 2,160 feet in the Sahyadri mountains and descends down into the valley, to reach the backwaters of the Bhira Dam

How to reach ?

Better option is cab. Otherwise if you are trying to come with local transport, it will be very hectic for you.

From lonavala cab drivers will charge 3500-4000rs

By Bus - There is no direct buses for andharban. From lonaval you will get bus upto Bambhurde village , from here you have to walk towards pimpri village (Base village of andharban). From bambhurde to pimpri is 14km walk.

*DONT GO THROUGH LOCAL TRANSPORT*

If you have money then you can select cab option from lonavala otherwise you can join any travel group for andharban trek. It will be under budget for you.

Entry fee - 50RS AND 140RS

End point Bhira dam

From bhira dam there is no cab or bus available. You have to contact local shop owners to hire any cab for you or auto upto pali. From bhira dam to pali they will charge 1500rs by auto. No options for lonavala.

NOTE- THERE ARE NO BUSES AVAILABLE ON SUNDAY. IF YOU ARE COMING ON OTHER DAYS EXCEPT SUNDAY, YOU WILL GET BUS AT 3:30PM AND 5:00PM
