STONE CARVING A SEAHORSE ON A BOULDER.

Описание: I carved this on a yellow York stone rock with a Dremel style rotary grinder, I thought the York stone would be a finer grain than the Forest of Dean stone. I used my Ferrex mini bench flex grinder. Also I try out my new water feed for the grinder, did it work and was it worth it? You will have to watch the video to find out!
I decided on this Seahorse sculpture design as it is my daughters favorite animal.
Stone carving with a Dremel rotary tool is a great way for beginners to get started in stone craft. Simply pick up a rock and put your ideas into action. Whether you are a carver or a stone sculpture or a slate or granite engraver there is a rock just waiting for you!
The Ferrex grinder is amazing value and the shaft drive attachment provides a slightly more powerful tool than other Dremel type machines for carving stone. If you have one, simply pick up a rock and off you go.
If you are a beginner to stone crafting and happen to have a Cordless Parkside rotary grinder lying around in your workshop this will do the job as well though with a bit less power.
Using a water feed is vital when carving hard beach stones or river rocks to cool down the diamond burrs and keep down the dust.
