MUGEN: Phineas vs his imposters (+ Beta Release)

Now people have made versions of the dorito-headed imaginative genius beforehand, but unfortunately none of them were really that good...

Kyle108’s version
The earliest known version of Phineas and it’s not a great way to start, the sprites were edited from N1000sh’s sprite of Phineas which looking back on, while not bad, it kinda looked a bit crude (kinda like SonicAdam2’s Gumball sprite), he’s a spriteswap of Daffy Duck, an unfinished one at that and according to his file name, he seemingly never left the WIP stage, his palette is also glitched. Also for some reason he has KFM’s death cry for some reason.

My old version (my dumbass decided it was a good idea to impersonate MadOldCrow)
This version has you play as both Phineas and Ferb ice climbers style using editing sprites from MOC1105’s P&F stage, sounds cool on paper but I did it horribly wrong, it uses the notorious EOH template and it has very crappy hit boxes and limited animations, I am soo glad I ended up finding out how to properly code later on in life, this is just an embarrassing part of my past I have to deal with.

JoshGunner’s version
Remember that version of Johnny Test I decided to resprite? Well the same guy who made him also made a version of Phineas that is easily the worst version of him, he’s a spriteswap of Crustin and the sprites are really poorly aligned, he also is too overpowered and there is still some sprites leftover. He also uses the same sprites as Kyle108’s version.

SmashFan41’s version
For a while this was the most decent version of Phineas (and Ferb) but it still isn’t that great, he’s basically a spriteswap of AngryBirdCooler’s Template with XJ9. Phineas uses the same sprite as Josh and Kyle’s, while Ferb’s custom made and looks pretty ugly, he’s pretty barebones and has basic supers and hypers.

There’s also one more version of Phineas that’s out there that was created by a guy named “Red Butch” however he’s since become lost media and there isn’t even any screenshots of him online.

Seeing all these made me wanna make my own version and that’s what I did.

He’s still in beta but updates will be coming soon, and yes I’m going to be making Ferb soon as well.
