Focus Bikes returns with their most aggressive e-bike, featuring a bold design and meticulously crafted geometry. The new SAM2 comes with an aluminum frame built to withstand anything you throw at it.

At the heart of this beast is the fifth-generation Bosch Performance CX motor, delivering an impressive 85 Nm of torque. You can choose between a 600 Wh or 800 Wh battery, offering either lighter handling or extended range. For those wanting maximum autonomy, an additional range extender can boost total capacity to 1050 Wh.

The SAM2's geometry is specifically engineered for stability on steep, technical terrain. The headset cups allow you to adjust the head angle between 63.5 and 64.5 degrees, while the modern 77.5-degree seat angle positions you perfectly forward for optimal control. The reach on the medium size is 465 mm, and you can even adjust the chainstay length from 441 to 448 mm without affecting chain tension.

Focus has equipped this bike with a coil shock system, designed to activate precisely when needed and provide endless travel for tackling big gaps, rock gardens, and high-speed sections. This is paired with a robust 38mm stanchion fork for maximum torsional rigidity and reliability.

Everything about the SAM2 is built to last. It features downhill-grade tire carcasses, powerful 220mm brakes, and aluminum components throughout. The dropper post varies from 150mm to 210mm depending on frame size. Interestingly, there's no display on the handlebar – everything is controlled via the remote unit and System Control.

The SAM2 comes in three versions. The top-tier 6.0 model at €8,499 features SRAM AXS T-Type GX electronic transmission and RockShox suspension. The mid-range 6.9 costs €7,199 with the 600 Wh battery or €7,499 with the 800 Wh option, featuring the new SRAM Eagle 90 mechanical transmission and Fox suspension. The entry-level 6.8 starts at €5,699 with 600 Wh battery and features Shimano Deore 12-speed components.
