Описание: My first very short uni project challenged me to look at the negative aspects what i hate about something I love and am passionate about (drag)... I chose to take it down the path of deconstructing gender/the misogyny and sexism/ever too often harassment that occurs in Birmingham's drag scene/gay culture. This very first, basic initial trial outcome accidentally somewhat turned into an amateur documentary-like video about the #BirminghamQueens while focusing on the key topics of deconstructing gender in drag culture, the sexism/misogyny female drag performers face, harassment in the queer/drag scene and highlighting the lack of safe space for queer people/lgbt youth/drag/etc. and also showing some of the positives that come with drag such as it being a creative outlet that gives confidence and artistic fulfilment, the friendships/bonds (drag families) and highlighting the importance of female drag performers in the drag scene, etc
