Islamabad Files examines a recent 745-page report submitted to the US Congress by the "US–China Economic and Security Review Commission (USCC)" has revealed critical details about the May 2025 limited India–Pakistan war. Although the report primarily focuses on China, Pages 108–109 deal with Pakistan, India, and the conflict—containing explosive findings.
Islamabad Files got out of the US report, that refers to the 22 April 2025 Pahalgam incident as an “insurgent attack,” contradicting India’s claims and indirectly acknowledging that Indian-occupied Jammu & Kashmir is a "contested", occupied territory with an ongoing freedom struggle. The use of the term “insurgent” confirms that the struggle is political, not terrorism, while India’s extremist Hindutva government continues state-sponsored violence.
Islamabad Files also elaborated the commission findings, which further describes Jammu & Kashmir as a “Contested Region,” which means the territory is internationally disputed, unstable, and lacking globally recognized Indian authority. This aligns with the global position that Kashmir is a political and military dispute requiring dialogue—or war—to resolve.
Presented before the 109th US Congress, the report covers China’s economy, security posture, geopolitics, and defence growth, while also highlights China’s expanding cooperation with Pakistan in defence and technology.
Islamabad Files also get into the most important aspect of the US report, which categorically confirms Pakistan’s success in the four-day limited May 2025 w@r and acknowledges that India suffered significant losses. It cites Indian propaganda attempting to blame China for assisting Pakistan, but the commission instead credits Chinese technology, J-10C jets, JF-17 Block-III fighters, and SH-15 artillery with enhancing Pakistan’s battlefield performance.
Islamabad Files crucially examines the report, which verifies that Pakistan shot down multiple Indian aircraft—including at least three Rafales—and notes that more aircraft may also have been lost. Global recognition is steadily aligning with Pakistan’s claim of eight Indian aircraft downed, while the number of shotdown Indian jets definitely more than claimed one.
