Muonionalusta meteorite pendant! It has a unique widmanstatten structure, characteristic only of meteorites and identified by etching.
Silver pendant Rhombus on a chain with the Muonionalust meteorite. A 2mm thick square plate was cut from a fragment of a meteorite. One side is polished to a mirror finish. The second side of the pendant has a pronounced crystal lattice peculiar only to this meteorite.
Sold with a 50 cm silver chain.
The smooth side of the pendant can be engraved.
The first fragments of the meteorite was found in 1906 in the County of Norrbotten in Northern Sweden (the approximate coordinates of the place of occurrence, 67° 49' N; 23° 14' E). Four years later, a new meteorite has been described by Professor A. G. Herbomel, which gave him the name in honor of occurring in those places of the river Muonio.
