WARNING: Do not attempt Death Diving without expert instruction. It’s dangerous even if you know what you’re doing and incredibly dangerous if you don’t.
Flynn Chisholm proudly calls himself a “death diver”, and holds the New Zealand record for a 35-metre dive into the Waikato river.
Chisholm flung himself off the Karapiro Dam to get the height, then dived, hitting the water at a speed of 100kph.
“I came up winded and then coughed up a little bit of blood. It is just what happens,” Chisholm said.
He was performing what’s known as a “døds” - a Norwegian sport that translates to “death diving”. Chrisholm joined Paddy Gower on this week's episode of TFN to explain exactly what death diving is.| Subscribe: https://bit.ly/2JPg8oB
