Is Nurse Practitioner School Worth It? | 5 Years as a Nurse Practitioner

Описание: Is nurse practitioner school worth it? After 5 years as a nurse practitioner, I’m sharing my honest experience with NP school, salary growth, work-life balance, and what I would do differently if I had to start over.

Becoming a nurse practitioner completely changed my career and my lifestyle, but there are definitely things I wish I had known before starting NP school.

In this video, I talk about my journey from registered nurse to nurse practitioner, the pros and cons of being an NP, and how the transition impacted my salary and work-life balance.

As a telehealth gastroenterology nurse practitioner, I also share how my career has evolved and why the flexibility of my current role has been so valuable for my family.

If you’re a nurse thinking about going back to school, or you’re currently in NP school, I hope this video gives you a realistic look at the nurse practitioner career path.

Topics discussed in this video include:

• My RN to NP journey
• Pros of becoming a nurse practitioner
• Cons of being a nurse practitioner
• Salary increase after becoming an NP
• My experience attending Walden University
• NP school debt and return on investment
• Whether NP school was worth it for me
