Four straight batters reached base for OU in their first trip to the plate as the hosts took a 1-0 lead in the first inning. With the bases loaded and not a single out registered, the Sooners' Hunter Haley hit the ball to Privateer second baseman Zach Pohto. Pohto threw the ball to shortstop Zach Liberto, who then threw to first baseman Zacary Hawkins. Max White and Anthony Hermelyn were also retired on the play. Play is third triple play in UNO history and first since Feb. 14, 1995 in a contest against Southeastern Louisiana. The very first triple play in school history was recorded on Mar. 2, 1991 against Miami (Fla.).
