NEET 2024 Paper Leak: Major Action Taken | CBI & NMC Crack Down | NEET 2025 Latest Update
A major revelation has once again shaken the NEET 2024 paper leak case. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the National Medical Commission (NMC) have taken strict action after uncovering major irregularities. Several students allegedly got admission into medical colleges using leaked question papers or by impersonation.
The CBI has cancelled the admissions of 14 students, suspended 26, and banned 42 candidates from appearing in NEET for 3 years, with 9 others facing a 2-year ban.
In response, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has taken serious steps for NEET 2025, scheduled for May 4, 2025. Over 93% of exam centres will now be in government schools and colleges, and question papers will be delivered under police security.
More than 1500 suspicious paper leak claims are under investigation, and action has begun against 106 Telegram and 16 Instagram channels spreading fake news. Bihar Police has warned cyber fraudsters of 10 years imprisonment and up to ₹1 crore in fines.
