I then show you what to look for when performing the brake job, how to properly disassemble, clean, and reassemble your rear brakes so you have maximum brake performance and lifespan.

Once the job is complete, I show you how to take the rear brakes out of service mode, all without touching a scan tool!

Helpful Break-in Tip:
When replacing ceramic pads with new rotors, be sure to perform a proper break in by lightly applying to brakes for short periods of time as the material transfers to the rotor. Don't stab the brakes! Apply smooth pressure for a few seconds at a time and try not to stand on the brakes for more than a few seconds if possible. You should notice a decrease or increase in braking force and responsiveness as you do this, indicating you are successfully building up that friction film on those rotors. Once the film is sufficient, the brakes will perform as designed and shouldn't shudder or make noise. This process can take up to 150 miles of driving depending on how frequently you use the brakes so use caution while driving during this period. If you're a professional doing this for a customer, inform them of the break in procedure so they can continue to cary it out properly.
