Mr. B. B. Sawhney is an illustrious Senior Advocate in the Supreme Court of India. He graduated in Law (L.L.B) from University of London in 1970 followed by Post graduation (L.L.M) in 1971 and was also called to the Bar by Lincoln's Inn. Taught Law at Ealing Polytechnic, now part of Thames Valley University, from 1971 to 1974 before coming back to Delhi at the end of 1974. Mr. Bharat enrolled with Delhi Bar Council in April 1975 and has since been practicing principally in the Supreme Court and Delhi High Court.
Prior to his designation as Sr. Adv. by the Delhi High Court in the year 2002, he was an Advocate-on-Record in the Supreme Court of India for 22 years. His main areas of practice have been Civil Laws, Constitutional Law, Arbitration Law, Service Laws and Banking Laws. Mr. Sawhney has been on Senior Panel of Lawyers of Union of India for Supreme Court for several years. He has regularly appeared for Cement Corporation of India, Jamia Millia Islamia University, ABN Amro Bank in most of their important matters.
