Ann Badowsky Weather Reel FEB 2026

Описание: Hello everyone! I am a senior undergraduate at the University of Miami, majoring in Meteorology with minors in Broadcast Journalism and Mathematics. I currently serve as the Executive Producer of UMTV’s pre-recorded weather show, CanesCast, and regularly deliver weather hits for UMTV’s live broadcast, NewsVision. I am also an active member of the American Meteorological Society and proudly serve as the Social Media Chair for the University of Miami AMS chapter.

In the summer of 2024, I interned at Boston 25, where I refined my forecasting skills and strengthened my on-air presentation. One of the most valuable parts of my internship was gaining hands-on experience with WSI Max. Because the University of Miami also utilizes WSI Max, I was able to bring those skills back to campus and apply them directly to our broadcasts. I designed and built new CanesCast graphics from the ground up and used advanced WSI Max techniques to create intricate, customized graphics for the Max University Challenge. In Fall 2025, CanesCast earned one of the highest scores in competition history for our Centennial Homecoming-themed submission, winning with a score of 90 out of 100. Safe to say, I’m a bit of a graphics fanatic!

As I prepare to graduate in the spring, I’m excited to pursue opportunities in broadcast meteorology. Above all, I value building trust with viewers through accurate, clear, and applicable forecasts, driven by a genuine love for being a small but meaningful part of people’s everyday lives.
