US President Donald Trump has vowed to avenge the deaths of American soldiers killed in the ongoing war against Iran. His statement came after the Pentagon confirmed three US soldiers were killed by Iranian retaliatory strikes. Trump said Operation Epic Fury, launched with Israel on February 28, 2026, had already struck hundreds of targets across Iran, including Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps facilities, air defence systems and naval assets. The fighting, which Trump said could last 4-5 weeks, threatens to spread further across the Middle East, with the Iranian-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon joining the growing conflict.
