This clip shows day 1 of socialization for a Great Pyrenees puppy (5weeks old) that will one day be a great livestock guardian dog.
At this stage the puppy is learning to be confident when faced with new and interesting livestock. Over the next few weeks multiple monitored interactions will occur before weening. After weening the real training begins.
Disclaimer: the puppy was never in any danger as the momma dog and ranch hands were just off camera to swoop in in case any aggression was shown.
