In this video we will detail the process required to modify the stock transmission controller unit, aka mechatronic, to be used with standalone type transmission controllers.
This is a multipart video series on our experience from the 8HP70 transmission swap from a 2014 730D with N57 on the Lexus GS300.
These videos will detail the installation and the issues we had encountered during the process.
These experiences included
2 transmission controllers.
A severe lock up causing a crash
and totalled the original chassis
while using the first controller.
And a replacement chassis using
a new controller to finish what we
had started.
