BROKEN ROD BUT STILL SOME ACTION! 🎣🔥
I loaded the kayak, trusted the call, headed out, and it turned into a rollercoaster of a day!
Paddled to the Reem & Saadiyat Channel to see if it was the same activity as a couple of days prior. Caught a grouper on the flat, then OSTs were boiling. Hooked one but lost it. Disaster struck when I cast too hard on my Temu Red Combo rod, which snapped near the butt. Gutted!
The temperature heated up, but managed to catch a couple more groupers, then another on the channel drop.
Even with the rod drama, was a great day! Some exciting trips are coming up, and this one reminded me that anything can happen on the water!
