Magnetic Island Snorkeling daytrip with Aquascene

Описание: Today we are going on another cruise with Aquascene. Our friends are here with us today.
The wind has been blowing and making it quite rough, but we’re still going out. It was going to be a circumnavigation of the island. But because it is too rough, they have decided against that. Still, they’re going to go to different places from last weeks trip. So today will be another exciting day of sightseeing and snorkelling. First, the skipper, tells us where we’re going and what the plans are for the trip and all the safety things. The skippers, decisions of where we can go, are regulated by the height of the tides.
We go past Nelly Bay where the rock wallabies live. As you can see, it is a beautiful area. And lots of places to be able to sit and relax to watch the Wallabies feed.
The sea eagle nests up there and he whistles to bring her down. She is in training; it is hoped that she will soon trust the boat enough to take fish from the hand.
The skipper’s hand made a song about the sunken ship , which he nicely sang for us, after we circumnavigated it. Its name is the SS City of Adelaide. Which is now filled with sand and mangroves, making it a small island. Ships were deliberately sunk in places around the island, to make windbreaks and to protect the beaches.
We stopped here in Florence Bay, here is another Sea Eagle, that has learnt that she can get a free feed from this boat. All she has to do is fly down and take it from the hand. The seagulls do make a nuisance of themselves. They are not happy that they are not getting the fish.
She does that with great care and precision, her wonderfully sharp talents only take the fish. Which makes the lady absolutely a static.
While we get ready to snorkel in Florence Bay, the batfish are fed

Amongst the seaweed and sea grasses, the soft and hard coral grows well on the rocks.
This is the time of the year for Turtles to start laying their eggs. So, the food for them is now starting to grow on the corals and grasses.
The second time be snorkel from the boat is in Arthur Bay. Safety is paramount and he makes sure that we’ve all got everything that we need before we can get into the water.
This has been a wonderful boat trip. And a great day.
