Syunik - Armenia, Summer 2020. Tatev, Old Khot, Khndzoresk

Описание: We visited Syunik in late August of 2020 and stayed in Goris. Our main destinations was Tatev Monastery dating back to the 4th century, Khndzoresk village and Old Khot village near Tatev.

Syunik province itself has power and mystery incomparable with the other places in Armenia. Whenever you pass the Syunik's gates (Syuniki Darpasner) you will definitely fill the difference in air, landscapes and historical heritage left from our ancestors.

Main cities are Sisian, Goris and Kapan. This time we stayed in Goris, from where all the destinations we wanted to visit is a half hour trip by car.

Near Tatev is the longest cableway located in Halidzor village and you can travel directly to Tatev from there using cableway. As we were on car, we haven't experienced that, but got really exciting feedback from those who arrived to Tatev that way.

Tatev Monastery - built on the clif in mountains and has incredible views. Rich history about this complex you will find in the wiki page below and it's definitely the standing historical monument telling you the story of Armenian landscape. We visited it twice as we wanted to see and shot it in the Sunrise colors. Please enjoy!
