Level crossing located in between the two platforms of Mitcham Eastfields Station in Mitcham, South London. Although that this is an MCB-CCTV crossing, there are light cameras and ANPR cameras on the off-side wigwags just like you get at MCB-OD crossings. The station here is only around 10 or so years old, and it was completed in 2008-2009 time. The alarms here are very quiet considering how busy this level crossing is in terms of both vehicular and pedestrian use, but this is compensated by the fact that there are four of them here. All equipment dates back to an upgrade to this level crossing from bells and GWE barriers in February 2018.
This video features an unusually short closure as the barriers had only been down for one minute before a Thameslink Class 700 appears out of nowhere heading towards Mitcham Junction.
