A school inspection campaign by the Cockroach Janta Party has triggered a fresh controversy in Rajasthan. Villagers stopped CJP members from visiting a government school, saying they did not want the issue politicised and that Rs 12 lakh had already been approved for construction. Meanwhile, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and co-convener Ashutosh Ranka alleged that volunteers were attacked by BJP workers while inspecting a school allegedly operating from a buffalo shed. The villagers rejected the CJP’s involvement, while the party questioned opposition to efforts to highlight poor school infrastructure.
