In this video, I want to share another 5 reasons why mature Vietnamese women in Vietnam prefer to be Western men. By mature, I mean women who were born before and within a few years after the Vietnam War since that’s a crucial event in the country’s history.

I have come up with 15 reasons so far and will share them in multiple videos. They are based on my own experiences and from the women that I have talked to. Here are the next 5 reasons why these Vietnamese women prefer being with Western men in general.

Before I go on, I would like to emphasize to you that the most important factors have to come from your sincerity and for who you are. I just want to remind you that a gentleman is still a gentleman no matter where he comes from.

5. Willing To Be Included In Social And Physical Activities

In Vietnam, many activities are often separated based on gender. Thus, it’s quite common that a woman spends most of her time with her friends and the man spends time with his friends. For example, it’s rare for a couple to work out together, go hiking, biking or similar activity together as a couple.

6. More Open With Their Goals

Western men are more likely to share their goals and dreams since they tend to treat the women in their lives as equals and therefore value their input. This of course communicates to the women that they are important, which means they are more likely to support the men’s goals and dreams.

7. Believe People Can Change
Self development and the awareness that it’s possible to grow internally is predominantly in a Western concept and almost non-existent in Vietnam. In Vietnam, it’s common to say, “He was born that way.” or “That’s the way she is.” Thus, it’s common to label people as who they are vs. seeing who they can be. This can lead to stagnation vs. healthy growth.

8. Willing To Seek Professional Help

Vietnamese men tend to bottle up their feelings and not express themselves. Thus, if the relationship is not working, it’s unlikely they will explain why, and it’s even less likely they will be open to professional help. This is partly because couples therapy is so new in Vietnam.

9. Less Judgmental

Vietnamese men tend to be more judgmental than their Western counterparts. If a woman is divorced or has kids, she can sometimes be viewed as damaged goods. A Western man tends to be less judgmental about some of the choices a woman has made or of her circumstances. Similarly, if she wishes to advance herself by going back to school or focus on her career, it’s more likely these choices will be supported by a Western man.
