Описание: “Gaslighter (Death is the Mother of Beauty)” is a song about the cruelty of manipulation — how reality itself can be twisted until you doubt your own eyes and feelings.

For this video, I matched the track to scenes from the original British "Gaslight" movie (1940), written by A. R. Rawlinson and Bridget Boland, and directed by Thorold Dickinson. Starring Anton Walbrook, Diana Wynyard, Cathleen Cordell and Frank Pettingell. This story, based on the Patrick Hamilton's play by the name of "Gas Light" (1938), gave a name to this kind of psychological abuse.

This is a project I've been doing since October 2023, after releasing my album "Midnight Butterflies" - using my songs as soundtracks to some of my favorite films of old times (or more recent times, if it's also a favorite). This is something I've been enjoying a lot, so I want to keep doing them. Please, subscribe to the channel if you want to be reminded when I release the next one.
