Today join me for day two of my Azores adventure, this time roaming around the unspeakably beautiful island of Flores. I'll show you the westernmost village in Europe, Faja Grande, have a delicious octopus lunch, go hiking to find an incredible waterfall that wouldn't be out of place in Hawaii, and then go swimming in a volcanic rock pool near the airport before flying out. All in all, I think this might be the perfect day in Flores, and it's completely doable to go there for a day-trip from Ponta Delgada. I'll also share some Azorean trivia with you. Did you know there are people on Flores with strong Boston accents?
