The European Commission has completed an independent ex post evaluation of Cohesion policy investments, providing key figures on the results for the 2007-2013 programming period. In total, Cohesion Policy invested EUR 346.5 billion to reduce disparities between regions and promote balanced and sustainable development across EU regions. Between 2007 and 2013, Cohesion Policy invested € 3.3 billion in Slovakia.
Investments were mainly made in the areas of:
• Transportation
• Energy efficiency
• Information and communication technologies
• Environment
• Culture and tourism
