In this SMAP live Zoom, Professor Matthew Wiesner explores using data from multiple sources to correlate gravitational wave detection with identifying the objects from which they originate. We illustrate how to compare supernovae to kilonovae by analyzing their absorption spectra. In breakout rooms, students examine data from 5 observations to determine the identity of the transient objects.
